In the East Hills neighborhood of Pittsburgh on a Saturday morning, a distressing 911 call was made by a man who had been shot in the chest. The call, which came in around 11 a.m. on September 23, 2023, set in motion a rapid response from law enforcement. Detectives already in the vicinity were able to reach the 2300 block of East Hills Drive within minutes, where they found 37-year-old Allen Jerrone Stevens grievously wounded.
