On May 14, 2017, a homicide occurred in Birmingham, Alabama, resulting in the death of 32-year-old Tyler Griffin. The incident took place on the 3400 block of Boise Avenue. Griffin was found shot in the back outside a home in this area.
According to the police, officers from the Birmingham Police Department's west precinct were dispatched to the scene in response to the incident. Upon arrival, Griffin was pronounced dead.
