In the early morning hours of April 29, 2024, the life of 35-year-old Walter Giovanni Reyes was tragically cut short in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Police were called to a residence on Pittston Avenue around 3 a.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered that Reyes had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention but ultimately succumbed to his injuries. The coroner later ruled his death a homicide.
At the scene of the incident, authorities took a suspect into custody. The individual was identified as 24-year-old Carlos Rivera. Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from a family dispute, and it has been reported that Rivera is the brother of the victim, Walter Reyes.
