On May 14, 2024, 36-year-old Benjamin Thompson was found unresponsive behind the wheel of his crashed vehicle on Jackson Street in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Emergency responders transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy later confirmed that Thompson had been fatally shot in the chest prior to the crash.
The investigation quickly led Scranton police to arrest 24-year-old Rahjuan Marquel Morgan on May 16, charging him with criminal homicide and conspiracy
