On June 6, 2024, 21-year-old Shyquel Rashad Folk of Windsor Township, Pennsylvania, was fatally shot in York City. The incident occurred in the 400 block of North Beaver Street, where police discovered Folk's body in a fenced-in backyard. An autopsy later confirmed that he died from multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was ruled a homicide.
