Timothy Brooks, a 24-year-old Black/African American male from Uniontown, Pennsylvania, was killed in the early morning hours of August 3, 2024, after a crowded night at Club Lux on Morgantown Street turned violent. Police said the shooting happened shortly before 5 a.m. at the after-hours establishment, where an argument inside the club reportedly spilled outside before gunfire erupted.

Brooks was struck multiple times, with police describing the wounds as being to vital areas of his body. He was taken to WVU Uniontown Hospital, but he did not survive. Fayette County Coroner Bob Baker identified him as the man who died, and his death was ruled a homicide from multiple gunshot wounds.

In the first reports after the killing, Uniontown police and Fayette County authorities said they were working through multiple leads and interviewing witnesses. The club was reportedly crowded when the violence broke out, and investigators indicated that the owner of Club Lux was cooperating with police. Authorities urged anyone with information to contact Uniontown City Police or Fayette County Crime Stoppers.

No suspect was publicly identified in the available reporting, and no arrests were reported in the case. The investigation was described as ongoing, with police still trying to determine who fired the shots that killed Brooks and what exactly led the argument to become deadly.
