On August 21, 2024, at approximately 3:49 a.m., Philadelphia Police officers responded to a shooting incident on the 2000 block of North Bodine Street. Upon arrival, they learned that Ruben Ramos, a 56-year-old resident of the same block, had been transported to Episcopal Hospital by private vehicle after sustaining gunshot wounds.
