In the evening hours of Wednesday, October 15, 2024, a dispute inside a Chinese takeout restaurant in North Philadelphia's Franklinville neighborhood culminated in the tragic death of 34-year-old Reginald Jones. A Black male, Jones was inside the establishment located on the 800 block of West Erie Avenue when an argument broke out. The verbal confrontation escalated to violence when Jones was shot in the stomach.
