Death by Force

On January 1, 2023, at approximately 4 a.m., Greenville Police Department officers responded to a reported shooting at 2125 Silver Maple Lane, Apartment 206, in Greenville, North Carolina. Upon arrival, they discovered two individuals with gunshot wounds: 32-year-old Deshawn Lavert Roundtree, who was pronounced dead at the scene, and 21-year-old Kiaira Boomer, who was transported to ECU Health Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
