On January 30, 2023, at approximately 10:12 p.m., Winston-Salem police responded to reports of a shooting on Geneva Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered 35-year-old Demetrius Alexander Williams suffering from a gunshot wound in a parking lot. He was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Investigations revealed that Williams had been involved in an altercation with another individual in the parking lot, which escalated into the fatal shooting.
