James Allen Gamble, aged 54, was tragically murdered on August 3, 2000, in Woodacre, California. Gamble, along with his girlfriend Jennifer Villarin, was found shot to death in the early hours of the morning. The couple was discovered in the downstairs rental unit of Selina Bishop, Villarin's daughter, who was away on a camping trip at the time. The serene community of Woodacre was shaken by the violent crime, which saw Gamble and Villarin shot multiple times as they slept.
