On March 17, 2023, 19-year-old Toney Ahmad "Tank" Gainey of Wadesboro, North Carolina, tragically lost his life. Deputies responded to reports of a traffic accident near Airport Road in Wadesboro and discovered Gainey suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite prompt medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries.
