On April 7, 2023, 34-year-old Zonna Chanae Locklear was found deceased in her home on Riley Circle in Lumberton, North Carolina. The Robeson County Sheriff's Office responded to a domestic dispute call at approximately 9:53 p.m., followed by a report of a shooting at the same location. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Locklear's body inside the residence.
The primary suspect in Locklear's death was identified as her boyfriend, 34-year-old Richardo Martez Clark of Pembroke.
Authorities apprehended Clark the following morning and charged him with first-degree murder. He was taken into custody at the Robeson County Detention Center without bond.
Locklear was remembered as a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She is survived by her three sons, her parents, and several siblings. She was preceded in death by her sister, Savannah Butler.
