Mary Ann Thompson, a 56-year-old woman from Lumberton, North Carolina, tragically lost her life on February 27, 2015. She was in her bed at her home on 110 Front Street when an unknown assailant fired gunshots into her residence. Mary Ann Thompson was shot while she lay sleeping beside her husband. She was immediately rushed to Southeastern Regional Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries.
