Death by Force

On July 18, 2023, at approximately midnight, Winston-Salem police officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 600 block of Mock Street. Upon arrival, they discovered 27-year-old Mario Radford Todd Jr. suffering from multiple gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigations revealed that Todd had been involved in a verbal altercation with an individual he knew. During the argument, the suspect produced a firearm and fatally shot Todd.
