He was a beloved member of the community, having played football at Carver High School and worked at various local establishments, including Cracker Barrel and K&W Cafeteria. At the time of his death, he was employed at Leggett & Platt.
On the evening of July 8, 2017, officers responded to a call in the 500 block of West 24½ Street in Winston-Salem.
