On March 23, 1975, Edward Franklin Jackson was found dead along with Francis Layne Labhart on Old Farrington Highway between Fort Weaver Road and Makakilo Drive in Honolulu, Hawaii. Both men were discovered with fatal gunshot wounds in what appeared to be a targeted attack. Jackson and Labhart were Navy servicemen stationed at Barbers Point Naval Air Station, and their deaths shocked the local community.
