On August 31, 2023, Durham, North Carolina, experienced a series of shootings that resulted in two fatalities and multiple injuries. Among the deceased was 45-year-old Robert Terrell, who was found shot on a sidewalk near the intersection of Holloway and Brye Streets shortly before 5 p.m.
