Tyree Kristopher Jones, a 21-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 17, 2021, in Durham, North Carolina. Tyree was a resident of Oxford, North Carolina, and was the son of Kristy Gregory and Troy J. Jones. He was dropped off at Duke University Hospital's emergency room just before 2:30 a.m. on the day of his death. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Tyree succumbed to the injuries he sustained from a gunshot wound.
