On October 18, 2023, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Winston-Salem police responded to reports of a shooting in the 800 block of Cameron Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered 31-year-old Brandon Deon Patterson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Services transported Patterson to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
