Phoenix police found a man dead of a gunshot wound Sept. 29 at his home near Ninth Avenue and Buckeye Road.

Investigators suspect 23-year-old Yaneli Medina was the person who fired the shot, police said.

Officers were called to check on 53-year-old Kimmy Brice after one of Medina's family members said she had admitted to killing him.

That family member called police.
