On November 25, 2023, 56-year-old James Michael Lynch tragically lost his life in a hunting accident in Halifax County, North Carolina. The incident occurred around 2:15 p.m. on private land along Watman Church Road, where Lynch was participating in a rabbit hunting expedition with a group. During the hunt, a shotgun was discharged, fatally striking Lynch, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
