On June 3, 2024, at approximately 2:20 p.m., Chapel Hill Police responded to a reported shooting at the Chapel View Apartments on Homestead Road in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Upon arrival, officers discovered two individuals deceased inside the residence: 70-year-old Hanho Choi and his 31-year-old daughter, Hyejin Choi. Both had sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
