The second suspect, Brenton Victor Nottingham, a 31-year-old male, was arrested on November 23, 2016. The third suspect, Robert Michael Linton, a 28-year-old male, was arrested in Florida and extradited to North Carolina in April 2017. Linton was charged with first-degree murder in connection with Bembury's death. Additionally, Linton faced charges of attempted robbery and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury in connection with an August 2015 incident, as well as multiple counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery in other incidents.
