The incident occurred around 6:50 p.m. on Donlora Drive, where officers responded to reports of gunshots in the area. Upon arrival, they found Wells suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
The Greensboro Police Department has classified the case as a homicide and is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding Wells' death. Despite their efforts, there is currently no suspect information available, and the investigation remains ongoing. A reward of $5,000 has been offered for information leading to an arrest in this case.
