On February 4, 1973, Anderson Brooks was found dead at the bottom of a staircase on Cottage Grove Avenue in Greensboro, North Carolina. The 53-year-old had suffered multiple gunshot wounds, and the discovery occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m. Despite the initial investigation, the case remains unsolved. Law enforcement continues to seek information that could lead to the identification of Brooks' killer, with the case being listed as one of Greensboro's cold cases from the 1970s.
