On the evening of July 23, 1997, 51-year-old Myron K. Nakao was discovered unresponsive on a sidewalk near Makaloa Street in Honolulu. Nakao had been beaten and was transported to the hospital in critical condition, where he later died. He had been last seen earlier that evening at a bar in the Keeaumoku area. Despite an investigation, no suspects were identified, and the case remains unsolved.
