On January 27, 2024, at approximately 3:00 a.m., a shooting occurred in the parking lot of The Flats at Arrowood apartment complex, located in the 8600 block of Lodge South Circle in Charlotte, North Carolina. Upon arrival, officers from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) discovered four individuals with gunshot wounds. Among them was 26-year-old Walter Humberto Ramos Murillo, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
