On January 28, 2024, at approximately 9:54 p.m., Concord Police Department officers responded to a report of a man lying in the road near the intersection of American Avenue NE and Madison Avenue NE in Concord, North Carolina. Upon arrival, emergency personnel found 33-year-old Jeramie Stefaun Forrest suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Despite life-saving efforts, Forrest was pronounced dead at the scene.
