On February 16, 2024, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 2600 block of Catalina Avenue in north Charlotte, North Carolina. Upon arrival, they found 33-year-old Devin Rashad Jeter suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
