On February 24, 2024, at approximately 1:11 p.m., Raleigh Police Department officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 5400 block of Rock Quarry Road. Upon arrival, they found 28-year-old Steven Andrea Jones II suffering from a single gunshot wound. Jones was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
