On May 3, 2024, at approximately 1:19 a.m., Wilmington Police Department officers responded to a ShotSpotter notification in the 400 block of McRae Street. Upon arrival, they discovered two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. The first victim, identified as 23-year-old Wilmington resident Jac’qual Goodman, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim, 42-year-old Timothy McMillian, also from Wilmington, was found a short distance away. He was transported to Novant Health New Hano ...
