Jason Stokes, a 38-year-old man from Wilmington, North Carolina, tragically lost his life on February 4, 2020. He was found dead from a single gunshot wound to the face in a fenced-in yard on Fullwood Street. The Wilmington Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter alert at 11:30 p.m. and discovered Stokes lying on the ground. Despite the efforts of paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
