On August 2, 2024, at approximately 9:17 a.m., officers from the Goldsboro Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at 308 N. Kornegay Street in Goldsboro, North Carolina. Upon arrival, they discovered 23-year-old Nymirra J. Bynum inside the residence, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Emergency medical personnel were called to the scene, but Bynum was pronounced deceased.
