Tequilla Danyele Barrett, a 26-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on December 26, 2010, in Goldsboro, North Carolina. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning on Slaughter Street. Tequilla was found inside a car with fatal gunshot wounds. Nearby, officers discovered Derris Jamar Oates, a 30-year-old African American man, with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
