Thelma Maxwell Bowen, a 75-year-old blind woman, was tragically murdered on October 6, 1990, in Goldsboro, North Carolina. She was the wife of Alvin Bowen, who was also killed in the same incident. The crime was part of a series of violent attacks committed by Linwood Earl Forte, who was later convicted of multiple offenses, including murder, rape, and arson.
