On the evening of August 4, 2024, at approximately 9:40 p.m., Greensboro Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 1000 block of Arnold Street, near Boston's House of Jazz. Upon arrival, officers discovered 44-year-old Teldrekus D. Young lying unresponsive on the sidewalk with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Services pronounced him dead at the scene.
