On September 13, 2024, 40-year-old Deboris LaShawyn Waller, affectionately known as "Shawyn," was fatally shot in Lenoir, North Carolina. Born on January 13, 1984, in Danville, Virginia, to the late Loyd Wendell Lipscomb and Dalva Ferguson, Shawyn had a passion for cooking and worked in various roles within the food service industry.
