On a cold January night in New York, New York, the life of 25-year-old John Dubois was cut short by a fatal act of violence. On the evening of January 13, 2023, in East Harlem, Dubois was shot in the head in what police believe was a targeted execution. The incident occurred at the Carver Houses, a public housing complex, where an unidentified assailant approached him, displayed a firearm, and fired the deadly shot before fleeing the scene.
