Police Officer Scott A. Gadell, aged 22, tragically lost his life on June 28, 1986, while serving with the New York City Police Department. Officer Gadell and his partner were in pursuit of a suspect who had threatened another individual with a pistol. The chase led them into an alley where an exchange of gunfire ensued.
