On February 9, 2023, 22-year-old Idrissa Siby was fatally shot near Times Square in New York City. The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of West 44th Street and Eighth Avenue, a bustling area frequented by commuters and tourists. Siby was involved in a dispute with several men when one individual drew a firearm and shot him in the chest.
