On May 13, 2023, 47-year-old Tyrone Michael Staley was fatally shot at Village Barber and Beauty on Second Avenue in Albany, New York. Staley, a well-known barber in the South End community, was working at the time of the incident. The shooting also injured a 9-year-old child and a 19-year-old man, both of whom survived their injuries.
