In the early morning hours of a September day in the Bronx, the life of 24-year-old Henry Reyes was tragically cut short. The young man was discovered with a single, fatal gunshot wound to his chest in the Soundview neighborhood. The incident unfolded around 2:30 a.m. at the corner of Elder and Watson Avenues, a time when the city is typically cloaked in a relative quiet. That quiet was shattered by the sound of gunfire, prompting a 911 call that brought police to the scene.
