On November 17, 2023, in Brooklyn, New York, 43-year-old Rosa Acevedo was fatally shot in her home on Louisiana Avenue. Her 26-year-old son, Gustavo Devora Acevedo, was also critically injured in the incident and succumbed to his injuries the following day.
