On a cold December evening in 2021, the life of 19-year-old Jaden Cruz was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire. The young man was in his own neighborhood, in front of a building at the Marlboro Houses in Gravesend, Brooklyn, when he was fatally shot in the chest.
