In the early hours of a Sunday morning in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, a 40-year-old man named Lavel 'Flip' Fraiser was fatally shot. The incident, which has unsettled the local community, took place on March 10, 2024. Fraiser, a married father, was in a basement apartment on Sterling Place, a location police sources have described as a known spot for gambling and drug activity.
