On the evening of Friday, April 26, 2024, tragedy struck in Buffalo's Broadway-Fillmore neighborhood, forever altering the lives of one family. At approximately 8:50 p.m., the sound of gunfire pierced the night near the intersection of Young and Ashley streets. When Buffalo Police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a man who had been shot multiple times. The victim, 31-year-old Quentin Alexander Sims, was pronounced dead at the scene.
