On the evening of May 20, 2024, 24-year-old Brandon Dubois was fatally shot in front of a residence at 968 Myrtle Avenue in Brooklyn's Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood. Responding to a 911 call around 8:23 p.m., officers from the 79th Precinct discovered Dubois with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso. Emergency Medical Services transported him to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, where he was pronounced dead.
