On a Monday evening in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn, a 24-year-old Queens man named Brandon Dubois was fatally shot. The incident occurred on May 20, 2024, in front of a residence at 968 Myrtle Avenue. Responding to a 911 call around 8:23 p.m., officers from the 79th Precinct discovered Dubois with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso. He was rushed by emergency services to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, where he was pronounced dead.
