In the early hours of a Sunday morning, on June 16, 2024, the life of 30-year-old Jamar Mack, a Black male, was tragically cut short in Syracuse, New York. The incident unfolded at approximately 2:26 a.m. when Syracuse Police responded to a call of shots fired in the 4100 block of South Salina Street, near the Valley Plaza.
