Gerald Solomon Jr., a 26-year-old resident of Syracuse, NY, tragically passed away on July 28, 2016. He was shot while in the 300 block of Coolidge Avenue near Kirk Park just before midnight. The incident left him critically injured, and he was immediately taken to Upstate University Hospital. Despite the medical team's efforts, Solomon succumbed to his injuries on August 5, 2016, making him the 20th homicide victim in Syracuse for that year.
