In the summer of 2016, the life of a young Syracuse man was tragically cut short, leaving a family to mourn and a community to wonder. Gerald Solomon Jr., a 26-year-old male, was the victim of a shooting on the city's South Side on Thursday, July 28, 2016. The incident left him with grave injuries to which he would ultimately succumb.
